Every Vellara piece can be made bespoke in our Cape Town studio. Choose your marble or stone, your timber, the shape and the dimensions, and we will craft it for you.

What our custom service includes

Almost every element of a Vellara piece can be tailored to you. Our bespoke service covers:

  • Stone & marble selection — choose from our signature range (Calacatta Rosso, Viola, Violet and Verde, Arabescato, Travertine, Rosso Levanto and Teos Green), or describe the look you want and we will source the right slab.
  • Solid timber bases — White Oak or Kiaat, hand-finished in your preferred tone with traditional joinery built to last a lifetime.
  • Form & dimensions — coffee, dining and side tables, consoles and lounge pieces, shaped rectangular, round, oval or freeform and sized precisely to your space.
  • One-of-a-kind commissions — bring a reference, a room or an idea, and we will design, prototype and handcraft the final piece with you.

Lead times vary with stone availability and the complexity of the piece. Share your brief below and we will come back with options, timelines and a quote.

A note on finish: the oil bonds into the wood itself, so the final colour depends on the timber it is applied to. The same oil reads differently on White Oak than on Kiaat, and pale tones especially will shift. The swatch is a guide rather than an exact match, and we sample your chosen oil on your actual wood before we build. Read more about oil finishes →
